The Kumaun region of Uttarakhand is also know for its temples but is always overshadowed by the Char dham yatra. This tours covers some of the most famous temples of kumaun region. This tour covers Kanchi Temple which is dedicated to Neem Karoli Baba(Microsoft's Bill Gates and Facebook's Founder Mark Zuckerberg came to visit this place for inner peace), Ghorakhal Temple of Golu Dev Maharaj Ji, Naina devi temple which is a famous Shakti Peeth of Hindu Religion, Hanumangarh Temple of lord Hanuman in Nainital, Chitai Temple in Almora which is dedicated to Golu Devta(Goljyu Devta) an avatar of lord Shiva, Kasar Devi temple, which is dedicate to Kasar Devi who is thought to be the saviour ot the Almora region and Jageshwar temples, these are a group of over 100 hindu temples dedicated to lord Shiva dated between 7th and 12th century.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day : 1 Kathgodam to Kainchi( 40 Km/ 1 hrs)
Pick up from Kathgodam railway station, proceed directly for Kainchi by road. On arrival, check in to the hotel. After refreshing yourself at the hotel at Kainchi, Darshan at famous Kanchi Temple which is dedicated to Neem Karoli Baba. After this, go to Ghorakhal Temple of Golu Dev Maharaj Ji. In the evening, enjoy evening walk near Kanchi. Dinner and overnight stay in Kainchi.

Day : 2 Kainchi to Nainital(17 Km/ 1/2-1 hr each side)
After breakfast, proceed to Nainital and visit Naina Devi Temple. Naina devi temple is a famous Shakti Peeth of Hindu Religion. After darshan, optional shopping and eating at the Mallital Market. Enjoy boating in Naini Lake. Post Lunch go to Hanumangarh Temple which is dedicated to lord Hanuman. Seek blessings of lord Hanuman at Hanumangarh. After this, return back to Kainchi in the evening. Dinner in the hotel.

Day : 3 Kainchi to Almora (46 kms/2-3 hrs)
After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed to Almora. Check in to Hotel in Almora. After refreshing yourself, visit to the famous Chitai Temple in Almora which is dedicated to Golu Devta(Goljyu Devta) an avatar of lord Shiva. it is reputated to make every wish come true. After this, go to Kasar Devi temple, which is dedicate to Kasar Devi. One has to climb to about 200-250 meters to reach to temple. After Darshan return back to the hotel.

Day : 4 Almora-Jageshwar-Almora(27 Kms/ 1 hr. each side)
We proceed to Jageshwar in the morning. Jageshwar temples are a group of over 100 hindu temples dedicated to lord Shiva dated between 7th and 12th century. Visit the temples site and see the old architechure. After this return to Almora.

Day : 5 Almora to Kathgodam (86 kms/3-4 hrs)
After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed Kathgodam for dropping.
