Description

Kausani is a picturesque hill town of Uttarakhand. Mahatma Gandhi once compared the surroundings to that of Switzerland, since then it is also known as Switzerland of India. Kausani is situated at an altitude of 1890 meters above sea level in the Himalayan foothills and is surrounded by a thick cover of pine trees. The town overlooks Someshwar Valley, Trisul, Nanda Devi and Himalayan range is also visible from Kausani. Kausani has mild summers and really cold winters. Summers start from the month of March and stays till June. Winters are really cold buy if you really want to experience the true picturesque beauty of Kausani, it is the best time to visit this hill town. Kausani is also famous for its tea gardens. The Rudradhari Caves and Waterfalls are also a must visit spot which is located in the Kailash region

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day : 1 Kathgodam –Kausani ( 140 Km/4-5 hrs)

    Pick up from Kathgodam railway station, proceed directly for Kausani on arrival check in to the hotel and after refreshment visit sight seen with Baijnath temple, Anashakti Ashram, Rudradhari water fall and Kausani tea estate and after enjoyment back to hotel having dinner overnight stay in Kausani.

  • Day : 2 Kausani –Ranikhet/Jageshwar -Kausani

    After breakfast drive to Ranikhet sight seen or Jageshwar famous traditional temple via almora sight seen after enjoyment back to Kausani till late evening , having dinner and overnight stay in Kausani.

  • Day : 3 Kausani-Kathgodam (140 Km/4-5 hrs)

    After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Kathgodam railway station for drop.
